In March, the Abilene Zoo usually hosts an event called Wild Days. During these days, the zoo can attract up to 20,000 visitors. A highlight of the festival is an interactive animal show called Wild Side LIVE! Held up to four times daily, guests can interact with the animals as they see them for the first time. The event also features live entertainment. The Zoo allows you opportunities to get hand’s-on experience with animals and learn more about them.

The zoo’s safari park features a wide variety of different animals, including giraffes. It also offers class offerings, concessions, and giraffe feeding.
